This 2‑NC auxiliary is built for applications where you want two separate circuits to open when the contactor pulls in - most often for safety interlocks, mutual exclusion, or control logic that must default to closed when the contactor is off. In HVAC/R control panels, dual NC contacts can be used to break a permissive circuit and also open a secondary “enable” path at the same time, helping prevent unintended operation or backfeeding in multi-stage setups. It’s a practical option when you’re simplifying a panel: instead of adding multiple devices just to get enough NC points, you add one auxiliary and get two. This is part of the new A2L‑compliant auxiliary switch family (61598–61605) referenced internally as compatible with the contactor groups that accept these updated auxiliaries - useful when replacing older auxiliary SKUs during the A2L transition.
